Louis grew up in Bredbury, Stockport he has always had a passion for drawing from a very early age. Studying GCSE level art and design at his local school Werneth upon leaving school he went on to study Advanced GNVQ Art and Design at Stockport College from 1999 to 2001 majoring in 3 Dimensional Design and ceramics through this course he went on to attend Salford University to study BA(hons) in Spatial/Interior Design. After completing the first year Louis had decided that the course was not for him and went travelling the UK, eventually living in Padstow, Cornwall.

Louis returned homeand became a bingo caller for Gala Bingo earning a qualification in bingo calling. After two and a half years he left his club and worked for the family business as a market trader where he met Robin Morgan, a horticulturist and Bonzai expert, Robin admired his artwork and proposed he produce some cover art for a series of books ha was planning on writing.

In 2009 Louis artwork became published on the front and rear covers of the first installment to the fantasy series: The Heirs To The Kingdom since which his artwork has been published on the second and third books ahead of several other talented illustrators commissioned for the series.

Working predominantly in pencil mediums Louis freelances for commissioned portrait work and various concept art and design work.

In 2011 Louis was approached by an old friend from school called Jason Martin with the proposition of fully illustrating a series of comics, this was a new path for Louis and he has taught himself some new skills and often refers to the comics as a delight and a new adventure each time.
