Über mich / About me:

Kontemplation: 1. Mystik: Versenkung in das Wort und Werk Gottes, betrachtendes Erkennen;
2. allg.: reine Anschauung, beschauliche Betrachtung, Beschaulichkeit;

kontemplativ: betrachtend, anschauend, beschaulich(1)

About me (English)

Since I was a child I always liked observing things and later shooting photos. This mainly when travelling. The logic behind seems to be clear. In holidays you have more time / leisure or you just take it.

During workdays it seems to be different. Always you have to deal with other things. You do something by yourself or you are forced to do something by someone else.

The deliberate decision, to deal with photography and to take pictures during workdays in the truest sense of the word moves the perspective a lot.

You take yourself time for the moment. This is good already because you become calm. With the camera it could be even better because you focus on an object trying to catch this very moment with your camera.

Close-Ups I like very much also because it could have a kind of therapeutical consequence especially while you are in nature. It comes close to only watch nature.

When you are completely focussed on an object you are kind of forced to forget everything else around during this moment.

The fact that you can preview what seems to be little in a bigger size even better in viewfinder but also on your display to me is the special temptation. It will be even strengthend if the picture turns out to be good.

The daily flood of pictures we are confronted with you can realize more or less. To conserve a single picture a unique moment to hold on it with your eyes to me is far more attractive because more contemplative.

If I do postprocessing with my pictures depends on if I like it as it comes out of my camera or not. Mostly I do some corrections. Often I undo those changes while thinking about what else I could do with this pictures. Sometimes I try some things to see if I like those changes.

My artistic pretension follows my wish for contemplation more in its secular meaning whereas the spiritual meaning „to watch and recognize“ has some interesting aspects too. If the one or other of the viewers of my pictures feels similar I will be glad of course.

Hopefully I don't need to mention that preserving nature and especially bees and other pollenators like butterflys or bumblebees are of utmost importance for all of us. A picture on the wall can at least help to remind us of this in case you don't want or could be a beekeeper yourself ;-)

If you like my stuff feel free to drop me a line.or leave a like or a comment for a certain picture.
If you have ambitions to correct my english text, feel free to drop me a line too because I am not a native speaker as you might have recognized.

If you are concerned or annoyed about my stuff keep it because it won't make both of us more happy.
