Smartphones today are so advanced they more and more feels like an extension of yourself, almost as alive. You often hear people say: "My phone is dead" or "I can not live without my phone."The metaphor is that a really quite simple and very dead gadget gives people a sense of being more present, more alive, and you connect to a greater degree to your gadgets. Almost on par with a pet or a friend!
