    Mixed works of art

This was experimental work using different techniques and materials using carbon pencil, charcoal, pastels, ink, water colors, xylography technique and collage. Some work was influenced by my interest in graphic design that would later lead me to digital art expression. Inspiration was drawn from everyday life, books, media and TV.

    Digital art (4 pictures)

The following work was created using a computer in digital form. Some work was computer-generated while others were manipulated from scanned photographs. In some work, vector graphics were used. The advantages to this work is that it can be used in more than one practical way. It might be printed to numerous numbers of units or represented as a work of larger proportions compiled from smaller units. Also, they can be represented in different visual and electronic mediums with the ability to reach a broad public and consumer society.

  • These paintings using tempera on paper were created in 1999 and there is not much to say about them. At that time paintings for me represented going to store to buy paper, brushes, tempera and just paint.

    Oil on Canvas (6 pictures)

Following paintings represent more serious and refined approach to visual art. Mostly using oil on canvas I painted them with a lot of care, attention to detail, using different reproductions from books as a guide. For the longest time I hid paintings in a closet not wanting people coming to our house to see them.

    Abstraction (3 pictures)

Abstract visions painted with oil or acrylic on canvas, wood and paper. Abstractions are not relevant to any observable phenomenon; it's a method of comprehension moving from tangible to abstract. Abstraction is the process of hiding details and exposing only essential features of a particular concept born from the research of transvangarde and the modern period of art. Mostly studied are the developments of traditional techniques in the contemporary art scene.
