Description:

Diese Stabkirche stand einst in Vang in Valdres - einem Tal in Südnorwegen. Als in Vang eine neue größere Kirche gebaut werden sollte und diese Stabkirche abgebaut wurde, wurde sie Dank der Beziehungen zwischen dem damals in Dresden lebenden norwegischen Kunstprofessor und Maler I. C. Dahl und dem preußischen König Friedrich Wilhelm IV. im Auftrag der Gräfin Friederike von Reden aus Buchenwald (heute Bukowiec) 1842 in Brückenberg (heute Karpacz) im Riesengebirge wieder aufgebaut. Dort steht sie heute noch.
