The Lower Falls are the bigger of two consecutive waterfalls that mark the start of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone in the national park of the same name.

The falls are 398 feet high, twice the height of those at Niagra.

This shot was taken in late May, before the final snows of the winter had melted.
