Through the course of his career, my husband has studied DNA structure and function. Sometimes the research dealt with cancer and viruses. Other times, toxicology was the focus, in that DNA mutations can be caused by one's environment.
................................................With research, there are more challenges than there are eureka moments. In those few times of celebration when the research findings solved a problem, the scientists maintained their composure but secretly were jumping up and down on the inside. Hence: the "DNA Dancer", the heart behind the research, the celebratory culmination of the work, the knowledge that the dance will go on.
