„Evening Colors At Leech Lake“

from the gallery of John Bailey
Description:

Although the name of the lake isn't the most flattering, it is a beautiful and much visited recreation area. Leech Lake is the third largest in Minnesota. Early French explorers named it Bloodsucker Lake because the Indians referred to it as the "lake abundant with bloodsuckers." Locals say boaters can see schools of leeches swimming the waters.
