Description:

The 132.5 foot tall historic lighthouse is located half way between Savannah and Charleston. It was built to be portable, and has been moved 3 times. It is constructed of large cast iron sections that are lined with bricks. The rotating fresnel light was visible for 17 miles. It was deactivated in 1933.
