Calling this photograph a macro photograph of a purple prickly pear cactus doesn't really do justice to the simple yet elegant nature of this photograph. I photographed this cactus in a studio with two strobes, a black background, a Canon 5D Mark III and a Tamron 180 mm macro lens. The simplicity of this photograph speaks to my artistic self.
