„Purple Wildflower of Poets“

from the gallery of Gena Weiser
Description:

I took this photo in a ditch in front of our house in Ohio. To me wildflowers are just as beautiful as garden flowers. The day I took this photograph it was very breezy and I sat and watched them move back and forth to the rhythm of nature. It was very meditative as well as beautiful. This particular wildflower is called by several names and is found in Ohio and in the pacific northwest.

Some of the names it can be called is - Ragged Robin, Beautiful Clarkia, Pink Fairies, and Deerhorn Clarkia. They are part of the Evening Primrose family. Their genetic name is Clarkia Pulchella.

Personally, I call these Pink Fairies but I am not sure if this is actually correct according to science. There is a lot of information on the internet concerning wildflowers and thousands of photographs. But, it is not an easy task trying to identify any wildflower.

I created this to be a perfect greeting card for many occasions or as a beautiful wall decoration. It is also available as a carrying tote, pillow, or phone case. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.
