I think this is the last big set of wine vats from the Flequer’s Valley that I miss to publish before. This set, called ‘Tines d’en Ricardo’ (Ricardo’s Wine Vats in English), was constructed around the XIX century in the center of Catalonia.

It’s curious to notice the big color difference between the upper and lower parts of the vats. This is because the lower part was sealed to prevent any wine leaks while the upper part wasn’t, it was only used by the farmers to press the grapes with their bare feet, hence sealing wasn’t needed.
