Die Gärtnerin träumt, nur mal kurz ausruhen. Die Arbeit ist gemacht: Der Garten grünt und blüht. Es ist zweifelsfrei ihr Garten, sie gehören zusammen. Formen und Farben der Pflanzen, des Sofas und des Kleides fließen ineinander über, werden eins. Ein Bild, irgendwo zwischen dem Expressionismus Beckmanns und der Leichtigkeit von Matisse.

The gardener dreams of just resting for a moment. The work is done: the garden is green and blooming. It is undoubtedly their garden, they belong together. The shapes and colours of the plants, the sofa and the dress merge into each other, becoming one. A picture somewhere in between the expressionism of Beckmann and the lightness of Matisse.
