Watercolour and ink travel sketch painting in impressionist expressionist style of two Hungarian trolls sitting and chatting by the statue group standing by the strain station in Budapest.
The scene was inspired by little witch dolls and witches I saw in a shop window by the station. I decided to transport them to the statues, loving the contrast between the seriousness and colour of the statues and the troll characters.
Seen and painted during a painting trip to Budapest in October 2014.
