I am a self-taught photographer. For me, photography is a way of remembering beauty.

Sometimes, I imagine that my eyes are a camera. The couple carrying shopping bags blurs out of focus, and the discarded shoelaces straggling across the sidewalk become black and white, and the girl’s hair is moving in slow motion to the wandering wind, and I feel the need to save this, this loveliness that only I can see.

It’s in the hat that blows off the hair of the woman in the green jacket. It’s in the leaf that winds its way down through the sky, twirling like the ballerina in my musicbox, and the fact that only I stopped to watch it land on the park bench. It's in a little child's hands folded tightly as he prays to God.

Jorge R. Canedo Estrada

Born in 1990 and raised in Bolivia, Jorge R. Canedo Estrada moved to Mexico when he was 15 and has been moving around ever since. Jorge ("Jr.canest", a lover of music, different art forms, technology and society; someone that wouldn't be here if it wasn't because of God's grace) has spent his life trying to understand how things work and their purpose. Now he applies this curiosity and his skills to what he loves to do, Motion Design.

After the camera became one of his and his brother’s favorite toys, he discovered the world of digital design and he started to learn by himself. At the age of 17, he won a full Scholarship to Vancouver Film School and is now a graduate from the VFS Digital Design program. He is constantly looking to gain more experience in his field and constantly being amazed by incredible animation, art, design or something completely... random.

He has been a finalist and has won some international awards and recognition; he is a strong believer in audio-driven animation; he loves typography; and he will spend hours walking outside in the rain or creating the perfect curve of animation.
