Description:

The North Cascade Mountains of Washington State, USA, are spectacular in any season, but winter is especially beautiful. I snowshoed in to Artist's Point, where I photographed alpenglow on Mt. Shuksan. It was a spectacular sunny day, with snowboarders and skiers everywhere. Few waited until the last light of the day, but I did, and the photographs of alpenglow were my favorite photographs of the day.
