The River Thames at Pangbourne, England. This is the scene just below the weir before it flows under the toll bridge at Whitchurch and on past Pangbourne Meadows. There has been a toll bridge here since 1792, the original being wooden. The present iron bridge was constructed in 1902 and has recently been refurbished. This image was captured on a bright afternoon in early February when the Thames was high and flowing fast.
