Cordoba Spain was once the center of art, music and knowledge. In 800AD Ziryab made it his home and started one of the first schools of music in Europe. He is the founder of Andalusian music which evolved into Flamenco. He invented the lute, fork, fashion seasons and so much more. He is considered the Leonardo da Vinci of the Islamic world. I did this painting as one of a series honoring Ziryab's life and accomplishments.
