The undeniable highpoint - literally and figuratively - of the Annapurna Circuit is the high pass of Thorung La, which reaches the dizzy heights of 5416 metres above sea level. This picture is taken from even higher, on a ridge strung with lines of Tibetan prayer flags, which flutter in the chilled wind. To the left of the image you can see Thorung La, and make out the triumphant trekkers that have just reached the summit.
