The mausoleum is of Maurice de Saxe [Moritz von Sachsen], Marshal General of the King's camps and armies of France, highly decorated, highly regarded. He got Chateau de Chambord for his duties from the king.
But when he died, as a [infidel] non-catholic, he wasn't allowed to be buried in Paris. They brought him to St. Thomas in Straßburg, France, the only protestant region in France.
