This is a November 1995 photograph of a lady meticulously arranging baskets in front of a shop in an unknown location in Nice, France. As I was standing on the corner the lady caught my attention by moving a straight-back chair in front of the baskets, climbing onto the chair and beginning to arrange the baskets. She seemed so committed to excellence vis-a-vis her attention to detail that I decided to capture her image. I was intrigued by the variety of designs, patterns and textures of the baskets but, ultimately, what caused me to trip the shutter for this image was the conscientious manner in which this lady approached and completed her task.
