Am Nordufer der griechischen Insel Milos ist der Strand Sarakiniko zu finden. Er besteht größtenteils aus grauweißem Vulkangestein. Der Nordwind hat dem Strand seine außerirdische Form verliehen, so dass das Gebiet oft mit einer Mondlandschaft verglichen wird. In der Nacht, als dieses Foto entstand, war Supermond. Dieser gab dem Bild den Titel.

Sarakiniko Beach is located on the north shore of the Greek island of Milos. It consists mostly of grey-white volcanic rock. The north wind has given the beach its alien shape, so the area is often compared to a lunar landscape. The night this photo was taken was a supermoon. This gave the picture the title.
