I am involved in photography since childhood, more than two decades, when from uncle I got Canon AE1. That camera took me into colorful world of frozen moments.
When years go by, photography stayed my second interest and first become writing. Now again photography is on the first place.
I use Fuji Film HS 10 and Canon EOS 60D with Canon lenses.

Camera Rustica was set up in 2012 and is a new venture for Bill Kerr, a self taught photographer and self confessed work in progress! Since moving to Norfolk in 2006 and taking up an interest in Photography he has been inspired by the Norfolk coast with its “big” skies and its endless textures, colours and patterns. Wherever he goes he is on the lookout for unusual juxtaposition of shapes, quirky associations of objects, mood and atmosphere, light and shadow.
Bill has a special interest in urban and rural decay and desolation, particularly through the architecture of redundant buildings, machinery and objects that have simply been left behind. Decay and change in our environment are an important part of the urban and rural landscape and far from being dull or ugly they can often be uniquely beautiful, atmospheric and interesting.

‘Keine Kunst ohne Trunkenheit. Dann aber: göttliche Trunkenheit! Die Vernunft möge verschwinden! Rausch! Das höchste Stadium des Rausches! In den brennendsten Wahnsinn getaucht! Viel weiter als je der Alkohol führt! Die Kunst ist die leidenschaftlichste Orgie des Menschen. Kann man Menschen begegnen, die von Kunst ganz nüchtern sprechen und einfach sagen: ‘Ich werde mir gleich ein Bild anschauen‘, ohne mit den Zähnen zu klappern? - als ob es sich nicht um die tiefste und totalste Ausschweifung handle, eine Art Sabbat, wohin man sich wahrscheinlich nicht begibt, ohne daß das Herz beklommen schlägt, wenn man anderen anvertraut: ‘Ich gehe gleich zu einem Zauberer und lasse mich in eine Maus verwandeln.‘

My preferred method is paperwork. I’m creating collages by using different kinds of illustrations, such as newspaper, books or calendars. For this handcraft I need good scissors and glue. I’m not using digital processing in my works.
My source of inspiration is life itself. Every encounter means inspiration. To express the vital forces is my intention.
When I start a new work, there is nothing I’m thinking of, no idea. It’s a flow. My intuition is leading me.
When the work is finished, I’m always surprised of the result. It’s a journey.
