I am not sure who was more inquisitive.... Was it me on seeing this young man wearing a white theatrical mask while out riding his bike, or was he the more curious, after spotting me armed with a camera, followed by my determination and comical looking antics in nailing the shot.

Although generally regarded as a device to disguise or hide, perhaps the mask also holds the less obvious and contradictory power to reveal and unveil....

As Oscar Wild said: "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask and he shall speak the truth"

Past, present and future, a traditional sailing craft carries those timeless qualities that can stir the soul – Happy days....
On a calm summers day this lovely old sailing boat makes its way through the Solent.

Every time I look outside my house I see a different forest, with seasons, climate and time of day constantly playing a different story. My aim was to capture the wonder and mystery and the sense of past spirits that linger in this prehistoric woodland. Although quite abstract in form, the image contains subtle hidden details, that draw in those who really look....

Predominantly a professional and financial business area, More London is situated on the Thames south bank, adjacent to Tower Bridge. This image captures the vibrancy of the architecture, and ‘juggles’ with the fun of street-side entertainment. Who said ‘Less is more’?

This classic English gothic-style church doorway is decorated with an elegant floral garland. Inside a wedding service takes place, with the sounds and atmosphere radiating out though the open door.

Early morning sunlight filters through the ground mist, as cluster of little poppy plants lift their heads in readiness to join the first one to burst into glorious scarlet.

Fascinated by the wonderful Koi, but not excited in following a conventional way of depicting this enigmatic creature, I needed to find a more creative idea to express its magnificence and mystery. So, steering away from an approach that overtly displays its vibrant colors, I decided to do the reverse instead. The resulting image shows this oriental beauty captured in total silhouette, with its colourful glittering appearance unseen on the fish, but with its magic and allure being reflected and conveyed within its watery world instead.
