Sai Kung is a world apart and only a few miles from crowded Hong Kong harbor. It has an active small craft harbor, a picturesque promenade where fisherman sell their catch, boat yards filled with large maritime machinery and equipment, and several piers where the locals hang out. I was attracted to the tranquility of this solitary man working diligently on a pier across the harbor from the busy waterfront restaurants.
