Hochlandrinder sind eine Rasse des Hausrindes, die aus dem Nordwesten Schottlands stammt. Sie haben ein langes und zotteliges Fell, das meist rot, braun oder gelb ist, und lange Hörner, die bei den Stieren nach vorne und bei den Kühen nach oben gebogen sind. Sie sind sehr robust und widerstandsfähig und eignen sich für die ganzjährige Freilandhaltung. Sie werden vor allem für die Fleischproduktion und die Landschaftspflege genutzt. Hochland-Rinder sind auch beliebte Fotoobjekte, die Zottel machen sie einfach sehr sympathisch.
