Montana is a big sky country and its amazing landscape has so many stories to tell and so many dreams to be dreamt. There is nothing comparable to to the vaste prairies in the north, the largest and most significant native grasslands of the US. This old gas station in the Northern Plains, with the wide horizon under this incredible blue sky. And there is Tom. When I painted this piece I didn't know that Tom would show up again after a year or so to become my pet dog;-)
