Flaming Rhino Design was formed in 1994 in Australia. The company started by creating and producing greeting cards, gift tags and wrapping paper. From there we have expanded into other complementary products such as social stationery, pencil cases and photographic albums. We are known for our bright colours and our fun, fashionable products for every occasion.

As an illustrator I try to blend together humour, poetry, and atmosphere to help create my own idiosyncratic world. My paintings also reflect the same desire to conjure an imaginary place but with perhaps more of a personal touch. You can see more of my illustration work on my website:

Since 1995, I have been writing and illustrating books for young children who are four to ten years old.

Hi! I'm Sandra Vargas, the person behind Sandygrafik, a graphic designer and illustrator based in Northern California.

My work is a combination of both traditional and digital techniques. My characters are created with so much love and attention to details, giving them it's own personality with little stories behind them, making each of them so special and unique!

My big eyed girls and whimsical fauna are inspired by nature, story books and fairy tales. Part of my work is dark and eerie, inspired by the stories of Edgar A. Poe or the imagery of Tim Burton to name some of my favorites. On the other side, my work is sweet and colorful, reminiscent of story books from my childhood and my playful inner child. My art takes me to a creative journey through a world of fantasy which I'd like to share with you!

My work is filled with contrasts: Sometimes it’s colorful and sweet, sometimes it’s dark and eerie, but always surrounded by a magical atmosphere.

I was born in Quebec on the 4th of July 1963. At the age of five, I received, in a Christmas stocking, a tiny picture book. This surprise so enchanted me that, since that day, I have cherished the dream of creating wonderful children's book. After studying both Interior and Graphic Design, I worked at the Association of Illustrators of Quebec. This job showed me the wheels of the profession. Twenty years later, I created numerous illustrations project, as well as childrens book images, for clients all around the world!

Ich bin selbstständige Illustratorin und arbeite bisher hauptsächlich für den Kinder- und Jugendbuch-Bereich. Am liebsten male und zeichne ich mit "echten" Materialien, das heißt mit Acrylfarben, guten Pinseln, Buntstiften und auf schönem Papier. Der Computer kommt bei mir meistens erst ganz am Schluss zum Einsatz.

Geboren wurde ich 1983 in Hamburg und lebe in Ahrensburg (Schleswig-Holstein). Nach dem Abitur studierte ich an der HAW Hamburg Illustration, wo ich im Sommer 2010 mit dem Diplom abschloss. Bereits parallel zum Studium war ich für deutsche und internationale Verlage, verschiedene Firmen und ein Trickfilmstudio tätig. Seit 2006 gebe ich außderdem mit viel Spaß Kindern und Jugendlichen Mal- und Zeichenunterricht.
