„Lake District Set 1 - Borrowdale & Seathwaite LD1-66“

Picture ID: a8391af
Description:

The Lake District mountains, fells and valleys are always a glorious riot of colours in autumn, with the yellowing grass, complementing the rusty orange of the bracken, and the reds and yellows of the trees, and if you're really lucky all this will be lit by the low sun and blue skies above. This set of photo-artworks are of views in the Borrowdale and Seathwaite area. The first group are of a walk from Seathwaite Farm, up Grains Gill to Sprinkling Tarn and Styhead Tarn, and then back down Styhead Gill, which is a glacial hanging valley with Taylorgill Force cascading down into the main valley.

Great landscape! I had been there at Lake Windermere, when I was fifteen. I should come back to this region after 50 years! :-)

It is certainly most beautiful at this time of the year when the light is good, the colours so vivid and the mass of tourists are fewer. You should visit again, as there is so much to see.
