Tracy Sabin received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in painting and drawing, from Brigham Young University in 1973. He worked for ten years in the corporate world holding various positions including staff artist, animator and art director. This period of apprenticeship helped Tracy realize that what he liked best was to make pictures. In 1983 he happily commenced a freelance illustration career. He is eager to take on all manner of assignments. He has illustrated for Nike, PBS, Intel, MGM, Airtouch Cellular, as well as less illustrious, but often just as interesting clients. He has done package illustration and design for Tamansari Beverage, Deleo Clay Tile, Bee International and Harcourt Brace. He has illustrated children's textbooks for most of the major educational publishers, including Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, McGraw Hill, Brown Publishing and Scott Foresman. He recently completed the illustrations for a Sabuda & Reinhart popup book called “Castle” which was a New York Times bestseller. He has created animation for the web and for television commercials for Kyocera, Cox Cable, Proctor and Gamble, California Edison and the San Diego Union Tribune. He has collaborated in the creation of over 600 illustrated logos.
