This house survived the American Civil War battle of Fredericksburg in 1862. Bullet holes pockmark parts of the interior. The sunken road, which was the Confederate battle line, can be seen on the left. The house, at it's original location, can be seen at the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park in Virginia, USA.
