Aleksei Shatunov

Was born in Tallinn, Estonia.Studied at the Estonian Art Academy for a total of seven years, studying printmaking, restoration and obtaining a masters degree in Art Pedagogy. After his studies in Estonia, he studied another two years at the Russian academy of arts named by I. E. repin in St.Petersburg, in the studios of Zagonik and Valery Pimenov. He was awarded a scholarship to study painting in Spain at the Politecnico deValencia. In addition to his fine art, Aleksei also works in book illustration. His paintings and drawings can be found in public and private collections throughout the world. Was working in the Swedish Academy of Realist Art as an instructor of drawing and painting, Centro de Alojamento Temporario de Tercena art instructor (Portugal, Lisbon), Metchosin International summer school of Arts ( Canada B.C.) Painting instructor, Red Deer’s College (Canada Alberta) painting workshop instructor, Estonain Academy of Arts Academical portrait drawing instructor, Member of Russian artists union of Estonia.
