Poster on photopaper, from my original painting in chalk pastels representing Freya, the Norse goddess of fertility , love and beauty wearing her famous necklace Brisingamen.

I chose to depict her fierceness along with her proud sensuality, as she is warrior along with lady- the picker of the slain. I gave her an expression as she was surveying the field not unlike an hawk, as she is associated with falcons and I wanted for her to look like a predator. And I focused on light emanating from her , making her skin and hair to shine as if from within, given her associations with gold and amber.
