Beate Blume

Beate Blume wurde 1966 in Gehrden geboren. Ihr Kunststil zeichnet sich durch den Gebrauch leuchtender Farben und starker Kontraste aus, die Teil einer harmonischen Komposition sind. Die Schönheit der Motive und die farbenfrohen Kompositionen erwecken beim Betrachter positive Gefühle.
Blume hat bereits zahlreiche internationale Auszeichnungen gewonnen.

Beate Blume typically uses brilliant colours and strong contrasts in her paintings. The contours of the subject remain mostly naturalistic. She works intuitively with simplifies shapes and colours. Repetitive elements give a unique rhythm to her paintings. The high purity of the colours makes the paintings appear to be flooded with light, emanating a joy of life. Strong contrasts create tension. In a world of fragmentations, contrasts and tensions, Blume transforms these aspects to create harmonious artworks. This artistic approach evokes - in the viewer's mind - the possibility of creating equally harmonious moments in our lives in a fragmented world.

"I would like to create artworks in which the harmony of colours and forms resonates with the viewer and conveys a sense that completeness and unity in every person him- or herself can be achieved even in our disconnected modern world. In my work, despite the fragmented shapes, the contrasts and tensions, the final experience is one of beauty and harmony. I think this is symbolic of our lives. All of our perception is partial and fragmented but we can still create a meaningful whole. I hope that the new visual experience of my artworks resonates with the viewers and helps providing the possibility of feeling a little more at home in this world."


Beate Blume was born on September 27th, 1966. She has won many international art awards, for example: 1st place tie American Art Award 2021, 2nd place American Art Award 2023 MUSA International's Woman Art Award 2023, 4th and 6th place World Art Award 2023, Art Show international 'Color 2022' Talent Prize Award, Featured Artist at Camelback Gallery 2022 and 2023. Special Merit Award City Scapes 2022 Light Space Time Gallery. Honorable Mention Award Fusion Art 7th Cityscape 2022. Gallery Ring's Artist of the Month March 2022. Special Merit Award from Art Show International's 2nd Grant competition. Honorable Mention Award Art Room Gallery City 2022. Beate Blume is married and has four children. She works as a teacher. As an artist Beate is self-taught.
