On a 1997 Winter day from the top of Lytton Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, this is a photograph of the Cathedral of Learning, a classroom building on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Dedicated in 1937, this 42-story Late Gothic Revival Cathedral is the tallest educational building in the Western hemisphere. This almost-full view of the Cathedral was only possible in Winter when there are no leaves on the trees lining each side of the avenue.
