„I Am of Saint Germain“

from the gallery of Michael Whitaker
Description:

This is an October 1995 photograph of a psychic at the corner of Rue de Chartres and Pirate Alley (Place John Paul II) across from Jackson Square in the French Quarters of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Leaning against the table adjacent to the seated male in the white shirt and tan shorts on the right is a vertical sign that read, "Venus - I am of Saint Germain - Readings - Palm - Tarot - Psychic - 33 years." For the record, the reference is to Count de Saint-Germain, a mystic often credited as the originator of alchemy and referred to as "The man who knows everything and never dies." With close examination it is possible to see a magnifying glass held in the right hand of the psychic for examining the palms and back of the hands of the male seated at the table in the center of the photograph. The building on the right of the photo is St. Louis Cathedral and the building on the left is The Cabildo History Museum. I captured this image because of the intensity with which the psychic was conducting her session, equalled only by the intensity of the attention of the two males seated at the table.
