This painting was inspired by seeing the bears footprints in the snow atop Owl's Head Mountain in Vermont. From this lofty lookout point, the bear probably took his last look at the onset of winter before retiring into hibernation, hence the title "Last Look ~ Black Bear". His breath can be seen condensing in the frigid air as the sun goes early down for a long night. The original painting measures 24 x 20 inches and is $2,400.00 USD.
