Opened in 1927 the Royal Hawaiian hotel has a Spanish-Moorish style that was highly fashionable during the Rudolph Valentino era. A playground for King Kamehameha the Great after he conquered the island of Oahu. Queen Kaahumanu's Summer Palace was here.
