Through the eye of a lens
Photography has always been my passion and though never taken to a
professional level or as a career the ultimate accolade would to one day
be recognized and published.
All images are taken by myself and are of my own design.
Photography is an ongoing learning curve
and each day whenever i pick up my camera something new is learned

Barbara Walsh is now following Steve Purnell

I have been around photography for all of my life as my Father was a keen photographer and was commissioned for many wedding shoots. I did occasionally help by taking the candid shots on the day. Until the last few years, my interest had waned until I purchased a dslr camera in 2007 and found my passion for the hobby reawakened.

I live in South East Wales and have a holiday caravan in South West Wales so my landscapes cover both areas. I have had several of my images published in one of the major photography magazines and have won prizes with others in some local photographic competitions.

Killarney Muckross Lake is very beautiful, special on a calm morning:)

Lovely Boat trips can be taken on the Lakes in killarney National Park.

The Great Blasket Island, the most westerly point in Europe, is the largest of a group of islands located 3 miles off the tip of the Dingle Peninsula Gaeltacht, 13 kilometers west of Dingle town. In the past few years a number of the houses on the island have been restored and amenities provided for visitors to the island. There are six main islands, plus some rocky islets and sea stacks. The Great Blasket Island, separated from the mainland by the Blasket Sound, is by far the largest of the islands and rises to 292 m above sea level. Inishtooskert, Inishnabro, Inishvickillane and Tearaght Island are located to the West and South West of the Great Blasket, and, with the main island, rise steeply from the sea. In contrast, the remaining island Beginish is a small, low-lying island, its green plateau used as a source of fodder for livestock.
