Owen Martin

Owen Martin is a photographer based in Swansea, South Wales. He has a BA (honours) in Photojournalism and has had a number of exhibitions of his work, in and around Swansea and in London. He is interested in photographing various political, cultural and environmental issues. He primarily works with digital cameras to create his work. He uses digital technology to create images that look different rather than trying to emulate photographs on film. He pushes his equipment to its limits in order to create effects such as noise and distortion.

Lia Termatzidou was born in Berlin in 1988. She studied Byzantine Iconography and has graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Art Sciences, specializing in Visual Arts. She divides her artistic expression between different mediums: Painting, photography, video and graphics. She participates in several group exhibitions and organizes artistic workshops in collaboration with other artists. Her subjects, mostly anthropocentric, explore the transforming power of the face - and by extension of individuality, and its association with social adaptability. She lives and works in Greece.

This is one of my photographs taken for my project on pollution. I wanted to take beautiful images that show pollution. I took this photograph to show how the sky is coloured by light pollution caused by street lights.
