Sally White

Photography is my passion. Each time I take my camera in hand and approach a subject, I carry with me the feeling that this might be the time that I get the perfect shot, the perfect image that will evoke recognition in whoever looks at it. I want the viewer to say that the picture captures the spirit, the essence of the scene, to recognize the "truth", the "vision" that I have sought to portray. I want a reaction that will inspire in each viewer a personal connection that involves just the two of us.

Each and every photograph I take is special to me. I use my camera and artistic eye to record the charm and delicacy in everyday objects and the grandeur all around us. My photographs reflect my personal commitment to excellence in both the recording and processing of an image.

Sally White is now following Michael Jaeger

Santa in a rare moment of quiet on Christmas Eve.

A babbling brook in a secluded forest in Southern Oregon. It's quiet, restful, and the perfect place for introspection.

Santa in a moment of quiet in his busy day.

Santa taking a break from his preparations to allow me to take his photo. Of course he is always jolly and happy to help. Ho, Ho, Ho!

A star-gazer lily in my Northern California garden in late afternoon sunlight.

Colorful flowers hanging on an old brick wall in Jacksonville, a former mining town in Southern Oregon. The brick wall dates back to the late 19th century.

I'm not sure what these captivating flowers are called -- I've heard them called cats eyes and tiger eyes -- but I call them flower lanterns. They brighten whatever part of the garden in which they are located by standing out on their tall plants. These lanterns are in my spring garden in Northern California.

A newly opened pink zinnia in my spring garden in Northern California. The bright and colorful pink seems to make the zinnia appear to be in 3-D.

Beautiful rose bud in my spring garden on a perfect day in Northern California.

A bubbly rocky creek in beautiful greenery in woods in Southern Oregon; a peaceful, solitary quiet place for reflection and relaxation.

A tranquil stream in a quiet spot in a forest in Southern Oregon. The perfect place for solitude and peaceful reflection.
