„ Rose Acacia“

from the gallery of Elena Oglezneva
Description:

This hardy, small tree or shrub (smaller than other varieties of Robinia) boasts attractive, fragrant, rose pink, pea-like flowers in May to June, that hang in racemes in a similar way to Wisteria. The pinnate, light green foliage holds on arching stems, creating a handsome, light canopy which is the ideal backdrop for the stunning flowers. Robinia Pseudoacacia Hispida, also known as Rose Acacia or Bristly Locust will grow to 3 x 2.5 metres in 20 years and prefers any garden soil, including dry conditions in full sun or partial shade when sheltered from strong winds.
