About 3 years ago I seriously discovered the fun of photography. It started rather innocent but right now it's part of every-day's life.
My photo's are very basic. I like to keep it plain and simple although I prefer a wonderful blur...
I try to show you everyday stuff in a slightly different way. I think my 'blue-period' is coming to its end. This doesn't mean I don't like blue anymore but I guess you will see other colours too in my latest work.
I have a Fine Art background. I completed my Fine Art degree at WSCAD (now know as University of Creative Arts) back in 1993; in which I specialised in Fine Art printmaking.
I have always loved photography. These days I spend very little time in my art studio, my passion for photography having completely taken over.
With macro photography I escape to another little world. I love exploring the tiny details in nature that often get over looked. I love finding beautiful colours and abstract compositions within nature and can even get passionate about photographing moss or a blade of grass.
I think I am at my happiest when I am crawling around on my hands and knees exploring a small patch of moss dripping with sparkling dew in the early morning sun.
I love nature and it's beauty, which due to our busy lives we all take for granted and overlook at one point or another. Like the sight of a breathtaking daybreak or sunset, and the sound of colorful birds chirping. The ocean breeze and the seagulls, the intense green of trees and beautiful meadows covered with colorful flowers. These are my motivations for loving photography in which I can capture the beauty that God has created.
