As you can see most of my paintings incorporate a Lab in some whimsical way. Living with three, they are a constant reminder not to take things to seriously. As I do all my painting outdoors, I am forever being interrupted by a juicy tennis ball in my lap and cold wet Lab nose poking my elbow. In spite of or because of all the help from my furry friends, I’ve had a continuous supply of inspiration and have been able to share with collectors all over the world. With my photographs I explore my everyday surroundings to reveal interesting and fun light, angles, and colors. I believe it all tells a story.
I have a background in mechanical engineering and computer programming, so sometimes I have to fight off the urge to be too technical and logical with my art. My passion for art probably began on a college field trip to the Guggenheim Museum in New York to see an Alexander Calder exhibit. Calder was also an engineer, so I believe that you can blend the two skills.
I hope that you enjoy my work.

Lainie Wrightson is now following Achim Koerfer

Achim Koerfer wurde am 27. Juni 1969 in Erkelenz geboren.

Achim Koerfer was born in the German town of Erkelenz on June 27, 1969. At the age of eight, he discovered his love for photography. What began as playful experimentation with multiple exposures using a conventional camera developed over the years into the singular artistic technique that has become the hallmark of his work. In his work as fine art photographer Koerfer addresses urgently topical social concerns. In his photo sequences he exposes these issues in terms of novel and compelling images of vivid and vibrant colors to polarize opinion, evince reflection and a shift of perspective.

Kathleen has degrees in Graphics and Technical Writing. She spent a number of years working in advertising as both a layout artist and web designer. She fell in love with New Mexico at a very young age and eventually found her self living in the Taos/Santa Fe area where she spent a large part of her adult life. While in Taos she had two art galleries, the Rainmaker and the Turquoise Lady.

Kathleen now lives in the Great Lakes Area in North West Ohio where she spends her summers at a marina on Lake Erie and her winters at home where she divides her time between digital art and jewelry making.

Photography has always been part of her life and her time at the marina and the islands is spent with her Nikon in hand. She has a great love for the large coastal birds – Herons, Egrets, Seagulls and of course the Pelicans.
