Thomas P. Röthlisberger

Bereits mein ganzes Leben lang beschäftige ich mich mit visueller Kommunikation und verdiene meine Brötchen damit. Als Grafiker und Fotograf arbeite ich vorwiegend in Bern, bin aber auch gerne unterwegs und auf Reisen.

Losgelöst von Zeitdruck und Kundenwünschen kann ich in meiner Freizeit als Illustrator und Fotograf tun und lassen, was mir gefällt. Ich will mich nicht beschränken auf eine Technik oder einen gewissen Stil, sondern immer wieder Neues ausprobieren. Nicht alles gelingt. Vieles wandert in den Papierkorb. Nur das Beste lasse ich gelten.

Ich zeichne lieber mit dem Computer als mit dem Bleistift. Pinsel und Farben überlasse ich anderen. Die Kamera ist mein ständiger Begleiter. Als Kunst würde ich meine Illustrationen und Fotografien nicht bezeichnen. Darum gibt es keine limitierten Auflagen und keine Einzelstücke. Was mir gefällt, gefällt vielleicht auch anderen und kann hier erworben werden.

I have been involved in visual communication all my life and earn my bread and butter with it. As a graphic designer and photographer I work mainly in Bern, but I also like to be on the road and travel.

Detached from time pressure and customer wishes, I can do what I like in my free time as an illustrator and photographer. I don't want to limit myself to one technique or a certain style, but always try something new. Not everything succeeds. Many things end up in the wastebasket. I only accept the best.

I prefer to draw with the computer than with a pencil. I leave brushes and colors to others. The camera is my constant companion. I would not call my illustrations and photographs art. That's why there are no limited editions and no unique pieces. What pleases me, may also please others and can be purchased here.
