For sure Dappat's cattles drank from this river water, whilst he rested on this rock.

Correct. the area adjoining the beach was used by cattle farmers from Gordon’s bay to grace their cattle. My grandfather was one of them! The cattle thief Dappat lived in the cave and would steal some cattle leaving the farmers confused as their tracks dissapeared at the high water mark. “Dappat se gat” opens onto the beach and at high water is completely closed for access by the tide.
