„ From Friars Crag Derwentwater“

from the gallery of Ian Lewis
Description:

The view from the shoreline at Friars Crag looking north towards the boat moorings at Keswick and, in the distance, the Skiddaw range. Derwentwater is one of the main bodies of water within the Lake District National Park. It is approximately 3 miles long and 1 mile wide with a maximum depth of about 72 feet. The shore at Keswick is extremely popular with tourists who can hire rowing boats or take a less arduous trip on a launch. There are many walks around the lake and on the surrounding fells
