Description:

A group of horseback riders making their way across the landscape of Cappadocia in the centre of Turkey. This is a largely dry area - very hot in the summer and cold in the winter but with little rain so it tends to be rather arid. This was the land of the feared Hittites in ancient history before the coming of the Greeks and thewn the Romans.It became Turkish in the late C11th. It is now popular as a tourist detination featuring activities such as horseriding and ballooning.
