A view over an area of the Atlas Mountains not far from the city of Marrakech in Morocco, North Africa. The distant peaks reaching as high as 13,671ft (4,167 m) are covered with snow but nearer, the foothills are green and tree coivered. Berber villages are scattered throughout the area perched on the sides and tops of these high hills. Mountain rivers rush down, keeping this landscape well watered and green.
